Well, I ran out of contact lenses and my prescription has expired. Time to see the doctor again so he can tell me that I have the same prescription and charge me 90 bucks.
Why do I need a prescription anyway? I’m not going to overdose. The same with astma prescriptions and insulin. Hello? We don’t need to keep seeing the doctor who just says – “Yep. Exactly the same as before.” Imagine that.
They say it’s “unethical” to renew prescriptions without a doctor visit. Really? Is it ethical to expire prescriptions so quickly? Especially diabetics – there’s no cure! Ah… yes, but we’re too stupid to take care of our own medical needs.
I found a website that will ship lenses to my address – no prescription required. All the same name-brands. Yee haw! I’m wearing my new lenses now in fact.

Holy cats!! This is awesome. I always thought it was retarded too that you couldn’t get lenses without the super expensive Dr. visit. Good for you! Lasik has been pretty good to me, I think I’m having a bit of side effect though. I have an appt on Friday. I’ll let you know.
