Jenn’s Photoshop: For Web Optimization Only
I rarely use photoshop for anything other than image optimization. I learned how to use it oh so long ago in Navy A-School and I’ve stuck with it over the years. For me, it’s one of those programs with a sea of features, but I only use the surface even though the possibilities are ocean-deep.
The basic image adjustments I use are sharpness filters, levels, variations, clone stamp, crop, burn, layers, masks, - okay, I use a ton of crap it seems. Recently I learned some new keyboard shortcuts to speed up my productivity.
1) Hand Tool. Hold the spacebar to turn your pointer into the hand-tool no matter what you’re working on. Release the spacebar to go back to the tool you were using.
2) Multiple Undo. Hold down the alt while you press ctrl +z. Undo as many times as your heart desires.
The most useful feature of Photoshop is the “save for web” option. I can change so many details of the image in order to get the file size as small as possible with the best quality. Very handy.
What do you use Photoshop for? What’s your favorite feature?

I use photoshop, primarily, to place people in compromising positions! Ha!
My favourite feature is… Hmmm…. resizing?
I put a link in my sidebar called “engage” that takes you to a random post somewhere on my blog. I tried it out and hit this old post. And I never replied to this comment? That’s not like me. So, better late than never…
Compromising positions… hilarious!
