I just gave up all of my Farmville-type addictions - sorry! Have you tried using disk utility to eject your external drive? Finder > Utilities > Disk Utility > Select the drive and click the eject button at the top.

You saved me a HUGE headache trying to find what is "open" and what isn't!! However, I still have a external drive that is not being used by anything and will not eject. Any suggestions?
By the way, I could use a neighbor in Cafe World...Have a good one!

You can also click on the "Apple" in the upper left hand corner and then click on "Force Quit", takes you to the same place.
