I just gave up all of my Farmville-type addictions – sorry! Have you tried using disk utility to eject your external drive? Finder > Utilities > Disk Utility > Select the drive and click the eject button at the top.

You saved me a HUGE headache trying to find what is “open” and what isn’t!! However, I still have a external drive that is not being used by anything and will not eject. Any suggestions?
By the way, I could use a neighbor in Cafe World…Have a good one!

You can also click on the “Apple” in the upper left hand corner and then click on “Force Quit”, takes you to the same place.

Ooh! Look at that! I’ve only used the “about this mac” on that list (to make sure I have the right version when installing many a program). Recent items! Cool!
