Even though I’m reaching the tender age of twenty-something… I still like the New Kids On The Block’s old music like The Right Stuff. I went to iTunes to download some of their finest tracks to get me hyped up for washing dishes. And I found a song called Summertime dated in 2008. Eh?
Turns out they’re back! They released their newest album in 2008 titled The Block. The band features all the original guys from the group! Even Donnie Wahlberg and my boyfriend Joey McIntyre (pictured at right). They’re touring in Europe right now.
Okay… so what about the new album?
Well, it’s not my favorite, I must say. Some of the songs are cheesy like Single, but so is Bon Jovi’s music and they’re still rocking it. This new album has an R&B sound similar to Justin Timberlake. And I love Justin’s music and Love Stoned is my favorite song of his. For NKOTB, I like the song Lights, Camera, Action the best.
I hope they go on to sell another 80 million albums! But they’ve got to get a better sound. They don’t “have the beat.”
By the way… doesn’t Joey look like Carlisle?
