Silly, empty utterances from Jenn who knows nothing about a subject but writes about it anyway.

There I am, sitting on my throne… waiting for little children to come to my dungeon and eat my poison apples.
I had a basket of green apples with one red one on top. My niece came down from college dressed as Snow White (wig and everything). I had a bean bag toss game, darts, and mystery food guess cauldrons. The kids had to play a game to win a prize.
But the best part was my mirror on the wall. I put a little TV covered in black cloth and played the Shrek DVD with the bonus game. I let the kids ask the mirror on the wall if they deserved candy. Then I pressed play on my hidden remote (under my sleeve) and the mirror would tell them yes or no. If it said no, they had to play a game.
It was the best house on the block! What should I do next year?

This is an update to my original post What Should I Be For Halloween?
I decided to go with the Evil Queen from Snow White. She just seemed more recognizable to me. Most people barely remembered the villain in Sleeping Beauty.
The costume costs $5 more than the Maleficent costume. By the way, the correct spelling is Maleficent not Malicifent. So her name is pronounced “mal-iff-assent” not “malice-affent.” Good thing I know all that now that I’m not even going to wear that costume!
I’m going to do up some disney-themed stuff for trick-or-treaters. I’ll have a basket of poison apples (one with a bite taken out of it) and a glass slipper next to a smashed pumpkin.
Also, the Shrek DVD has a bonus game with the talking mirror in Lord Farquaad’s bedroom. You ask it yes or no questions and it “answers” after you press the play button. I’m going to dress up my TV as a mirror on the wall. Then I’ll totally ask the mirror if I’m the fairest in all the land.

Have you looked for Halloween costumes this year? Oh my gosh. I can’t believe the overabundance of slutty outfits! Slutty pirates, slutty witches, slutty fairies. What gives? Of course, they call them “sexy” costumes. Give me a break. If you only cover up your nipples and your hoo-haw you look… *slutty*.
After I weeded out the obvious whore-ensembles, I realized that I wanted to be someone evil this year. I narrowed it down to two choices:
- The Wicked Witch of the West $90
- Malicifent (the sorcoress from Sleeping Beauty) $40
I considered others like Medusa, Cruela De Vil, or Ursula - but I couldn’t find good costumes at a reasonable price. Which one do you think I should be? Leave a comment or vote on my poll on the sidebar.
