This is just a little anecdote about living in a small town. I’ve noticed that folks take ownership of most everything in and around the town. It’s our grocery store, our forest service, our school.
Well, now I belong to the town too! A gal explained to another gal who I was. She said “She’s our new secretary.” No other explanation is needed. She didn’t have to say secretary of what – everyone just knows that there’s a new high school secretary – and that’s me. And not just the new secretary… she said our new secretary.
If you ever want to feel like you belong somewhere… move to a small town. It’s kind of nice.
Also… I like to add a picture to each post – and this one seemed to fit.
