Usually when I give directions to someone, I try to keep it short. I hate getting the directions from people that say “Okay, now you’re going to pass a church, then you’re getting close. And soon you’ll see a McDonald’s, and go past that.” I just want to know when to turn.
Travel east on this road, turn left on this road, take a right at this road, last house on the left. Easy.
Well, the roads around my house don’t have any names. They’re kind of like mile-long driveways. Everyone is considered to live on the same road. So here are my directions:
From town, turn left on old first road, left at the red hay barn, right at the T, left up the steep hill – we’re the only house once you finally get to the top.
