Do You Subscribe to Newsletters?
Posted last year, mid-January.Filed in: email, internet
Many websites ask you to sign up for their “newsletter”. Usually, I don’t care what they have to say. I’m not thrilled learning about the company’s press release on their new management team.
But what about informational websites? Like About.com for example. I subscribe to their web design newsletter and I just love it. Each email focuses on three articles they call “in the spotlight.” They provide a short description of each one with a link to the full article.
The crazy thing is… I’m always interested in one of the topics! Every email is useful to me. I don’t feel the same about other newsletters/feeds/blogs.
Anyway, if you’re interested in any subject… any subject check out About.com to see if they have some tips for you.
By the way, do you have other newsletters, blogs or online discussion groups that might interest me? Spill it!
