I love Indiana Jones. I love the ride at Disneyland - even Roch was Indiana Jones for Halloween once. I was thrilled when I found out they’ve made another movie!
Let’s start off by saying this story was written by George Lucas and directed by Steven Spielburg. Now, can you really go wrong? Also, Shia LaBeouf (one of my favorite actors) stars in the movie with Cate Blanchett and Harrison Ford.
Okay, now lots of my friends watched this movie and were disappointed by the weak plot and lame special effects. I asked “Did you watch the first three movies of the series?” No, of course they didn’t. They didn’t enjoy the movie because they’re missing the nostalgia that I grew up with.
I thought it was a good movie. I liked that they brought back old characters. I also thought it was great to see what Indy has been up to since his last adventure (professing of course). Plus they kind of made way for a new generation of Indiana Jones - Jr.
In theaters now!

I give it a “quite enjoyable.”

My niece brought this movie over to my house when I babysat. Although I busied myself with cleaning or something, I popped my head in the living room a few times to watch part of the movie. I didn’t get to finish the movie, or even understand the plot, but I liked the scenes I watched.
I’m in charge of the Netflix account (Roch tasked me), so I choose the movies and TV shows. What can I say? I rent the crap out of movies since I canceled my cable/satellite service. I thought we’d give this movie a try. We usually wind down at night with an hour of TV-time or book-time before bed. With movies, we just pick a good spot to stop watching and finish it the next day.
We loved this movie! We found it difficult to decide when to stop watching - we kept saying “after this scene” or “let’s see what happens here.”
The movie has a great plot with a good ending. My kind of show. I just wish I had watched it in the theater! Rent this movie if you get a chance.
I give it a “surprisingly awesome.”

Do you remember this 1987 hit? If not, here is a short recap: Micheal and Sam move to Santa Carla to live with their taxidermishious uncle. Micheal falls for Star, almost turns vampire and the Frog brothers save the day by shooting holy water from their super-soakers? Yes, you remember! This movie rocked out loud!
Well, good news… the sequel to The Lost Boys is coming to a theater near you. How exciting! I loved the original, but then again, who didn’t? Here are some of the highlights for the upcoming film:
- Both Coreys have been casted again (Feldman & Haim).
- The artist who recorded “Cry Little Sister” in the first film has recorded several new songs for this film.
- Angus Sutherland (Kiefer’s half-brother) will play the vampire-gang leader.
- The release is scheduled for July 2008.
- The movie is titled Lost Boys: The Tribe.
That’s all the good news I know about. I hope this movie rocks just like the first. But… I can only think of a few of sequels as good as their originals. The Bourne Supremacy, Toy Story 2, The Empire Strikes Back, Batman Begins, Rush Hour 2, Dead Man’s Chest, National Treasure: Book of Secrets. I guess that’s it.

20q is an online game based on the new electronic guessing game: 20q (20-questions). They have an awesome Harry Potter version of the game - which I played today.
First I was the Whomping Willow. 20Q guessed my answer (read my mind) in only sixteen questions! Then, I was butterbeer - and it totally guessed that too! Although, I answered no to the question: “Can it be found at Hogwarts” because I don’t remember anyone drinking butterbeer on school grounds. The game told me that it was taught by other players that the answer was yes.
It’s not really a true 20-questions game because the first question begins as a multiple choice question (person, place, thing) instead of a yes/no question.
I really like the game because no one (around here) seems to like Harry Potter as much as I do! I just wish I could find an awesome H.P. Trivia website. I wonder how much I know…

My sister has been highly entertaining since I’ve been visiting. Her baby is the cutest baby ever. Really. They’re watching a scary movie so I can’t stay on the computer too long. I don’t like scary movies. I’ll have to go do something else. The Messenger.
I met up with my old friend Gabby. She’s going to take some pictures of me (she’s a photographer). Cool right? I made biscuits and gravy for my parents yesterday.
That’s all I have to say about that.

I just ate the new snickers candy bar. This candy is promo for the new Shrek movie: Shrek the third. I already ate it and I forgot to take a picture of it. I found a snickers candy review that you might like to read.
The wrapper says “with green Shrek filling.” That made me laugh. Filled with Shrek’s green what exactly? It tastes the same as the regular snickers. They just dyed the nuget bright green. Really bright.
While I was searching for the “official site” so I could use their picture and give a little credit to a fun candy bar, I kept stumbling across articles about Shrek’s obesity-promotion. Or articles on the gay-hating “snickers kiss” commercial. Corporations have an agenda and hidden innuendos, so they claim.
Anyway, I found a little fun in the form of Shrek trivia on M&M’s website. I’m pretty good, but some of the questions are hard! You have to move your mouse around the forest then click (when you can) and collect M&Ms. For each M&M you find, you get to answer a trivia question.
I like games.

The incredible trailers had me hooked. The colors were dull and dark like a cross between a comic book and a movie from the twenties. The great story of Sparta with half-naked warriors. I watched this movie opening night.
The music, the actors, the camera angles, the special effects! It was so incredible! I cried about four times. A couple of times I wanted to jump out of my seat and pledge loyalty to Sparta for my King!
Yes, the King. Played by Gerard Butler. He was perfect. A great body, a believable leader. The great Leonidas. Of course, I didn’t expect some documentary about factual events that happened before B.C. - I expected an epic movie like Lord of the Rings - but with more skin
I didn’t find anything cheesy about the movie. Men shouting their loyalty to the death was full of passion. Boobies and sex scenes were tasteful, appropriate and totally sexy. I remember one scene, at the start of the battle where the Spartans held off the first wave of the Persian army, pushing with their shields. For a moment, they gave a strong push in unison, then pulled back to make their first strike. There was utter silence. No voices, no metal clashing, no screams or yells, no music. Just perfect silence for two seconds.
Up until that moment I hoped that their brutal training was worthwhile. I hoped they made a statement and felt the glory they longed for. After the two second silence, I knew the battle would be spectacular.
I’m impressed. The writer/director’s name is Zack Snyder. He is on notice! I will watch any of his movies. I don’t need to know anything about the movie. I will watch it. Just like M. Night Shyamalan.
By the way - do you know who is banned from my list? Quentin Tarantino. I hate his stupid movies.

Night at the Museum
The one with Ben Stiller and everything comes alive at night in the museum. It was good. I thought it was going to be much funnier. It’s a family movie. I give it two out of three stars.(it’s a renter).
The Pursuit of Happyness
The one with Will Smith set in the early 80’s where he applies for a high paying brokerage job. SUCKED. Oh my gosh, it was so depressing. And boring. We would have walked out of the theatre if we weren’t with some friends. I give it a “oh brother”.
That’s all I’ve seen lately.

I went to the theatre on Friday to watch Rocky Balboa. It rocked!
The movie started 5 minutes late, followed by 8 minutes of commercials and 12 minutes of previews. I timed it with my watch. Commercials piss me of so much! Instead of lowering the price of tickets while they get money from advertising - they raise the price! And I’m not talking about the commercials while you’re waiting for the lights to turn off. They “start the show” with commercials! I hope they don’t put commercials IN the movie.
Anyway, if you liked any of the previous Rocky movies, you’ll love this one (in all its cheesyness). And Stallone is old, yeah yeah. But have you ever seen a man his age look that good? Ask any 60 year old man to do ONE pull-up. Stallone does ten with weights on! He’s sexy.
But I have to tell you about Transformers! During the previews (which I love) they showed Transformers! More than meets the eye! Roch was so excited. We’re there to watch the Rocky movie. Of course he loves this movie. He grew up with the name! It’s part of his childhood. Now he’s reunited with Transformers? What next? He-Man? Roch might have a heart-attack.
The Transformers movie looks so awesome! I’m sure the too-cool-for-it lame assess will criticize the shit out of this movie. I don’t care. I will stand in line to watch it.
