I just have to say kudos to our awesome local theater – The Pharaohplex. They are the bomb-diggity. They’re the nicest, least expensive, and have the best 3D set up in the entire state. Really. They have special Dolby 3D glasses that cost them $20 a pop (that they let us use for free).
But they went a step further by refusing to play Sony Pictures movies until Sony drops the requirement to make people buy tickets for children ages 0-2. You go girl! I’m bringing the 90’s back.
“An important announcement concerning The Karate Kid from Sony Pictures Releasing. We currently will not be playing any Sony pictures while we’re reviewing Sony’s policy requiring tickets for children 0-2 years old. Currently none of the other film companies have this requirement. We feel customer service is better served keeping things the same for everyone/every movie. Thank you for your support in this matter.”
