Yes, yes, it’s true. I’ve crunched the numbers and it turns out that I’m right. Teenagers (more often than older folks) are more polite with their cell phones.
There’s probably more (or less depending on your point of view) but I thought this is an astute observation on my part.
I could speculate why this occurs – probably because teenagers grew up with cellular devices and know how to use them properly.
Adults commit the following phone-fouls. Teenagers? Not so much…
- Forget to turn off their phone in theaters/meetings/everywhere.
- Answer their phone to tell the person they can’t talk now. Wha?
- Yell into the phone because that makes it clearer.
- Don’t realize that it’s their phone making all the noise.
- Say, “I’ve got to take this.”
