Salmon Recipe from Mrs. Dash
Posted 5 months ago.Filed in: food, recipes
I’m not a big fan of fish. I don’t like the way it tastes and it stinks up the house when I cook it. I might have a bite of someone’s fried cod if they order it at a restaurant (smothered in tartar sauce). But Roch loves fish, so I cut out recipes and try new ideas.
I cut this recipe from a home and garden magazine. I thought at least I can make it look pretty if it doesn’t taste right. I did some substituting (as I usually do). I set the plate in front of Roch (with a side of pretty asparagus) and he thought it looked delicious. I thought it looked like vomit.
I made him wait to eat while I grabbed my camera to take a picture of his plate for blogging purposes. While he was eating the fish, I heard some mmms then he said this meal should be added our permanent menu. Whoo hoo! I can cook!
I’ll give you the link to Mrs. Dash’s official recipe, and I’ll give you my way below. I even changed the name.
Corny Salmon
1 colored bell pepper (not green)
1 can of corn
1/2 a red onion
1 sprig of green onion
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
Broil the fish at 400° until it’s flaky. Chop up all the ingredients and mix together in a microwave safe bowl then nuke the mixture until it’s warm. Spoon the mixture over the fish. Done.
I feel bad because I didn’t use Mrs. Dash’s seasoning, but I didn’t want to buy the seasoning just for one meal. This Daily Twaddle doesn’t really have a theme does it? I just write about whatever strikes my fancy!
