I hadn’t noticed that my iSight camera records like a mirror. So if I take a picture of text – it will read backwards like looking in a mirror. This isn’t too big of a deal for taking photographs of myself because I’m mostly symmetrical – no one notices.
There is an option in Photo Booth to automatically flip the photo after you take the picture. While in Photo Booth go to Edit > Auto Flip New Photos. It fixes this problem if you don’t like reversed images.
But… I don’t think you’ll be able to flip the “active” video stream – maybe you won’t want to do that anyway. Because the people on the other side of your video chat will see you normally. And if you try to pick that booger out of your nose – you’ll miss!
