Silly, empty utterances from Jenn who knows nothing about a subject but writes about it anyway.

Roch’s family is sick. The poops the barfs… the works. Anytime I’m around them when they have even an inkling of illness - I catch it.
Everyone is working on Roch’s sister’s house - adding new siding, painting, windows etc. But, they’ve all been sick the last couple of days. Our friend Scott called this morning to tell Roch that he can’t help out because he caught “the sickness” yesterday.
Well, I can’t go down there to help out. What if I get sick like Scott? I can’t risk missing school. And there is a good chance that I would come down with whatever it is they all have.
In fact, I may catch it anyway from Roch. He never gets sick, but maybe he’s carrying the bug without symptoms. I hate getting sick. I also hate waking up at 5:30 in the morning on a Sunday.

I snowboarded once in my life - way back in ‘99.
It was a miserable experience. It took me about an hour to get down the hill.
Then I promptly traded in the board for skis.
Unfortunately, all of my friends (and Roch) are snowboarders. So I gave it another try. This time with lessons.
The instructor was great. I learned how to go, how to stop and how to crash. I was on the bunny hill and that tow-rope about killed me. I realized I have an enormous fear. I’m not sure what I’m afraid of, but I am definitely afraid when I’m snowboarding.
I think I will move back to my familiar skis. Again. I should probably re-take some lessons with them as well.
That’s me on the left with the “rental” strap on my leg.
