Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will show in theaters this November. It’s the sixth story of the seven-book series. By the way, the very last movie (after this one) will be split into two parts with release dates of November 2010 and May 2011.
Some interesting casting facts…
Some hot cage fighter named Dave Legeno will be playing Fenrir Grayback. He played in Batman Begins, but I don’t remember him. Wait. What? I imagined Grayback as some fat gurgling Romanian with bloody matted-down hair and long dirty fingernails. They’re going to get some guy that could play Twilight’s Edward? Hmmm.
OMG! I can’t believe I didn’t make the connection that Professor Snape is the same guy that played Has Gruber in Die Hard! He also played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. No wonder he’s such a great bad guy! But my favorite Die Hard villain is Jeremy Irons as Has’s brother.
Who will play the Muggle Prime Minister? Will they show that scene with the froglike man in the painting delivering a message from Fudge? Ha! Of course, this part of the story is trivial compared to Voldemort’s history…
And I’m thrilled about the choice for Horace Slughorn – Jim Broadbent. I remember him from Moulin Rouge and some Peter Pan movie. In the book, I laughed so hard at the drawing of him shaped like a couch hiding from Harry and Dumbledore in chapter four.
My big movie-going plans…
I’m thrilled about watching this movie! I’m so excited that I think I’ll dress up when I go. I wish more people would make an event out of the stories they love. Have fun now my friends! Don’t let fantasy-play die with age.
So, I’ll wear my dress robes. I’ll bring my cauldron for popcorn. I’ll wear iPod speakers to broadcast the Harry Potter theme music while I wait in line. I’ll bring my wand to poke people who talk during the movie. I will have unabashed fun even if I’m the only one.
Please – no spoilers! Some people haven’t read the books yet, so don’t spill the beans about you know what. Take care when you comment.

MOM
No… just the wand. But the other items are easy to come by. I just need to pop down to Diagon Alley…
We should meet for the final movie in 2011.
My stomach is all in knots just thinking of seeing the movie! I am probably going to cry when we go to Orlando for the opening of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”!!!
What do you think about Fenrir Grayback? Did you find him more repulsive in the book than the picture I have of him?
Yes, I think he was described in the book as very disgusting. Maybe with make-up the actor will look like the description in the book. I am a little nervous about watching the movie in the crowded theater. I will have to bring a case of tissues.
