Let me start out by saying that I watch television to be entertained. I like to enjoy myself. I want to have a good laugh and feel good at the end of a show.
I’ve decided to stop watching certain television shows because they bore me or depress me. This is an update to my previous post about the TV shows I watch. Below is a list of the ones I stopped watching and a list of those I still like.
Shows Deleted From My Tivo
✘ Desperate Housewives. The plot thickens… so they say. The plot is ridiculous, I say.
✘ Ugly Betty. See above.
✘ Biggest Loser. Jillian irritates me and the people that I like get voted off.
✘ Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? I’m not sure if this show even airs anymore, but they stalled too long in-between questions – I was bored.
✘ Scrubs. This show is supposed to be funny. Lately they do a depressing story with short funny moments.
✘ The Office. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it’s stupid. Kind of like Southpark.
Shows That Made The Cut
✔ Heroes. This show barely made the cut. Stupid powers are just stupid powers (Mayja). I still enjoy Hiro’s story though.
✔ How I Met Your Mother. The new “Friends.” Hilarious! My favorite.
✔ The Big Bang Theory. I may have spoke too soon about which one is my favorite.
✔ 30 Rock. Still funny.
✔ Monk. LOVE IT!
✔ Psych. Very funny with great plots.
✔ Rules of Engagement. I haven’t been able to watch this one lately because it comes on at the same time as Heroes.
✔ Ghost Whisperer. I Tivo this and watch it when Roch’s not around (he hates Jennifer Love-Hewitt). I like trying to solve the mystery.
✔ The Singing Bee. The one where contestants must know the words to random songs. I like it because I’m pretty good at it. Roch thinks this show sucks.
¿ Bionic Woman. I haven’t decided on this one yet… I watch it after everything else, but I’ve seen only the first three episodes so far.

Shows I have to watch:
Smallville, Ghost Whisperer.
Shows I like to watch (but don’t care if I miss them): CSI, NCIS, Cold Case, Without a trace, Boston Legal.
When I watch Smallville, there can be no interruptions and no talking during the show. I’m a little obsessed.

Holy pamoly, that’s a lot of TV. Guess what??? I took my last final today! Didn’t do fantastic on it but scored about 5% higher than the class average so I’ll take it
