Google you’re killing me! I use the webmaster tools, I submitted my link, I created a sitemap. What else do you need to include my website in your index?
Oh… there’s an extra line of code in my header you say? Something about me telling you not to crawl my site? No, that can’t be right. I totally optimized my meta for you. Oh – Wordpress automatically enters this code just before publishing. I see…
You’ve got to be kidding me.
The version of Wordpress that I installed (I don’t remember which version) automatically checked some box that says “I don’t want anyone to ever find my website.” So, Wordpress puts a great line of meta code in my header that directs search engines to disappear as soon as they discover my site. Nice. All this time I thought I pissed Google off.
Lessons Learned
- When using Wordpress change the search-engine-hating option in Admin > Settings > Privacy > I would like my blog to be visible [...]
- Check the source code with the browser after publishing to see what kind of crazy crap might be going on.

This is one good looking, sexy theme, love it! What theme are you using?
I edited the default kubrick theme myself. But I still don’t like my theme very much. I’m going to edit it again… It will be interesting…
